Pipeline, written by Dominique Morisseau and directed by Nicolas Johnson, is a powerful and emotionally charged drama that examines the pressures placed on Black families as they navigate America鈥檚 education system. The story centers on Nya, a dedicated public-school teacher and single mother fighting to protect her son, Omari, after an explosive incident at his prestigious private school threatens his future. As Nya struggles to keep Omari safe from the system, from society, and from himself, the play exposes the cracks in the 鈥渟chool-to-prison pipeline鈥 and the impossible choices families must make to survive it.

With poetic language, raw tension, and deep compassion, Pipeline explores love, fear, responsibility, and the fierce urgency of a mother trying to break a cycle before it breaks her son.
